The Role
We are seeking a Media Manager to help us build best-in-class advertising campaigns in Spain and Portugal for our titles and brand. Netflix has now been building conversation-driving creative campaigns in Spain for 10 years, and we’re looking for the right person to scale our priority campaigns within media.
This role will work closely with our marketing title leads, to ensure our campaigns deliver innovation excellence, efficiencies at scale, whilst remaining impactful and laser-focused where necessary. They will be responsible for media strategy, media planning (in partnership with our agency) and supporting those executing creative delivery.
They will be responsible for developing best practices within both our media agency relationship and in-channel approaches that connect to our overall marketing strategy. They will maintain relationships with key media partners, build learning agendas and help the team stay knowledgeable about the evolving ES media market.
The role involves a high degree of consultation and partnership, and requires an appetite to build scaled strategies while also balancing the need to tailor campaigns and learnings towards the local market priorities.
Responsibilities
Work hand-in-hand with the title marketing team on title level media strategy, budget-sizing and goals in order to develop clear and inspiring briefs.
Evaluate media plans provided by our agency, in line with the brief and the wider business context and advise title managers on your recommendations.
Work closely with production managers and title managers to ensure they’re delivering outstanding creative, in line with their vision.
Develop an audience-first approach and ensure we are balancing the needs of individual launches vs our holistic visibility in market.
Develop efficient buying strategies such as annual deals with regularly used media partners and manage their roll out.
Inspire internal, media agency and creative agency teams through your creative or innovative media ideas.
Maintain relationships with key media partners to ensure we leverage their products in the best manner. This may also involve working with cross-functional partners such as our newly formed advertising team, partner marketing and publicity, who may have overlapping points of contact and business goals.
Work very closely with our paid social agency to ensure you act in an advisory role to title teams on creative best practices, helping them produce brilliant creative.
Provide feedback to marketing planning teams on tooling needs for campaign planning and execution efficiency.
Share interesting learnings across the ES marketing team and with other country teams.
8+ years managing and developing strategy for paid media campaigns in a media specialism in house or within a media agency.
