This role is based in Madrid and reports to the Director of Social Marketing, Spain and Portugal
We are Netflix’s Social Marketing team. We make content that brings communities together over shared passions, helps our fans discover new shows, movies and talent or fall more deeply in love with something they’ve already watched. You’ll be creating content that drives conversation around Netflix titles, and have a skill for bringing these stories into the social zeitgeist through best-in-class creative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a content strategy that keeps the @NetflixES social channels vibrant and engaging, ensuring they remain at the forefront of the industry by prioritizing the growth and engagement of our community, and bringing a fresh perspective to captivate diverse audiences.
- Ensure the implementation of strategies for each channel and detecting opportunities and trends that allow us to maximize impact.
- Collaborate with our creative agency, offering clear direction and feedback to ensure innovative and high-quality creative outputs.
- Lead the social rollout of series and film campaigns by carefully reviewing and scheduling content that resonates with our audience and reflects a dynamic point of view.
- Work closely with Social Managers and cross-functional teams, particularly Marketing, to ensure your fresh insights into channels and audiences enhance their creative efforts.
- Stay alert to audience trends and signals around the Netflix brand, titles, and talent, ready to seize opportunities that boost fan excitement with a new and innovative approach.
- Drive audience growth by sharing your successes and lessons learned, always aiming to enhance engagement and brand loyalty with a fresh vision.
- Connect the dots between title launches with regular multi-title posts (e.g., New-on-Netflix lists) and creative brand posts (e.g., new product features, games), bringing a new perspective to each.
- Keep an eye on titles without Marketing support, ready to pivot quickly when unexpected hits arise, using your innovative thinking.
- Embrace creative strategies that leverage platform features and audience habits to create memorable moments, always with a fresh and dynamic approach.
- Work closely with Comms and Publicity teams, providing a social perspective to effectively manage any issues that arise, with an innovative mindset.
Background and Skills:
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in social marketing, digital marketing, agency roles, editorial, or consumer goods brands, ideally within entertainment, sports, or gaming, bringing a fresh and innovative perspective.
- Proficient in social media publishing and community management, with a solid understanding of each platform's unique features, content formats, insights, and data across major platforms like TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
- Keen interest in online trends, with a good sense of what drives pop culture and what content gets shared and talked about, always looking to bring a fresh viewpoint.
- Strong analytical skills with a good understanding of social metrics, KPIs, and analytical tools, using them to inform innovative strategies.
- Extensive knowledge of organic social, complemented by a good understanding of the paid social landscape.
- Experience in influencer marketing and working with creators, bringing a fresh approach to collaborations.
- Business-minded with a strong sense of responsibility, coupled with a dynamic and innovative outlook.
- Fluent in English, with the ability to present effectively in both Spanish and English, and engage confidently in conversations, bringing a fresh perspective.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments, skilled at navigating complexity, and appreciative of Netflix culture, with a vision for innovation.
