Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Job Duties: Build tools and processes for automating security controls and monitoring scale. Assist the team in improving incident response capabilities. Guide company infrastructure teams in implementing security best practices for cloud environments. Lead security initiatives across the organization and harden company infrastructure against attack. Represent Reddit's security program outside of the company at security conferences. Telecommuting is an option. 

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering (any field) or closely related quantitative discipline and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or in any occupation in a related field.

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Experience in query security telemetry and present findings to stakeholders using SIEM solutions such as ELK and Splunk; (2) Network Security concepts and implementation patterns; (3) Linux/Unix OS and the implementation of security by design at the OS level; (4) Experience in implementing Kubernetes and Docker best practices, as well as policy enforcement mechanisms; (5) Experience in implementing security guardrails in CI/CD workflows; (6) Scripting with Shell/Bash and Python; (7) experience with intrusion and threat detection/prevention systems; and (8) Experience in cloud security best practices, posture management, and compliance in AWS. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option.

The base pay range for this position is: $243,360.00 - $267,100.00 USD
