Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Geology, Biology, Meteorology, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management and implementing environmental and/or energy management system in tech sector in Europe.
  • Experience in the implementation of the environmental and/or energy management systems within an organization.
  • Experience in NASA environmental/energy regulations, environmental incident management, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience and/or knowledge of mission critical operations with respect to environmental and energy management.
  • Environmental/energy management systems experience in NASA.
  • Outstanding skills and experience in collaboration and relationship-building with cross-functional teams and executive-level stakeholders, and strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the management systems across the Google Data Centers (GDC) teams in compliance with the regulatory requirements. You will play a critical part in working collaboratively with a cross functional team of GDC and multiple stakeholder teams to identify programmatic gaps, develop and execute environmental campaigns, programs and procedures.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Establish, implement, promote and maintain a conforming environmental and energy management system (EEMS) aligned to relevant ISO standards, including procedures and associated knowledge database encompassing all GDC operating models
  • Manage conformance, certification and associated continual improvements against the global and regional Environmental Management Systems and the relevant standards (e.g., ISO 14001; ISO 50001, Energy Star, etc.) by engaging with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor upcoming environmental and energy regulations, and collaborate with internal GDC teams to steer program requirements through a solid understanding of NASA environmental, energy and sustainability regulations and Google data center operations.
  • Support Data Center Operations and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure EEMS compliance and support with regulatory submissions, where applicable.
