We're looking for an experienced technical manager with experience in managing a high performing and self-driven team to join the Bazaarvoice development team as a Software Development Manager. The team is responsible for maintaining, developing and deploying the Bazaarvoice Contextual Commerce product. As a development manager on the Bazaarvoice team, you will guide a team of highly motivated engineers, work closely with product managers, collaborate and work with teams in different geographies to build new product capabilities, review and optimise infrastructure cost, drive technical best practices and build new products or capabilities on our existing platforms that will be leveraged throughout the company. You will help shape the products that power the future of Bazaarvoice.
Responsibilities and Duties:Overall leadership of a highly motivated team of engineersTranslate complex functional and technical requirements into individual release assignmentsWork closely with Product managers to ensure we deliver value to our customersWork closely with Client Success Managers to ensure we deliver value to our customersEnsuring continuous improvement in engineering best practices, software development and delivery process that focuses more on delivery outcomeEnsure client campaigns are built, tested and launched according to key metrics such as time and budgetExcellent communication and ability to work efficiently with cross functional teams across geographiesMaintain current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology, always on a look out for optimisations
Qualifications & Experience: RequiredBachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience6+ years of Software Development management experience4+ years of project management or scrum master experience4+ years’ experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS and server side technologies, such as Ruby / Ruby on Rails, relational database and SQLExperience working with JIRA or other task management systemExperience working with Tag Management Systems such as Google Tag Manager, Tealium, Adobe Experience CloudExperience integrating with analytics packages such as Google AnalyticsExperience of server-side web apps in any languageStrong presentation and technology leadership skillsAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment Experience recruiting and building high performance teams Must be fluent in English and possess advanced written and verbal communication capabilities along with exceptional active listening skills
