What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 1 year experience in food service management, sales, and facility maintenance. Preferably experience in two of those categories.
  • Articulately communicate in a professional tone both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and composure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to problem solve independently
  • High degree of integrity, autonomy and ownership
  • Open availability and flexibility 
  • Please note this is 12 Month Fixed Term contract with opportunity to extend

 

What You'll Do:

As a Junior Operations Manager at one of our ghost kitchen facilities, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring facility maintenance, working to get prospective partners onboarded, and delivering exceptional customer support.

 

Customer Support and Retention:

  • Assist in onboarding new restaurant partners, including being a subject matter expert when it comes to the permitting process for your respective facility / region.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for restaurant partners, building and maintaining trusting relationships, and solving any issues that arise
  • Manage the overall partner experience, preventing churn, and extending partner lifecycle.

 

Team Management:

  • Lead and train a dedicated facility team, handling scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Manage a highly efficient and automatized order fulfillment process, and deliver excellent customer service
  • Cultivate positive and inclusive work environments, fostering teamwork and communication across teams and departments.

Building Repair and Maintenance:

  • Perform general upkeep and handle minor repairs and maintenance; coordinate with external vendors for specialized services.
  • Lead the research of strategic partners together with our procurement team to control monthly cost and improve profitability.  

Health and Cleanliness:

  • Ensuring compliance with local health and safety regulations while maintaining the highest cleaning standards via third party companies.
  • Monitor partner compliance with safety and health department protocols.
  • Enforce proper waste disposal procedures, responding promptly to cleaning-related emergencies.

Administrative & Strategic:

  • Train with senior positions in support, data analytics, and reporting.
  • Participate in planning sessions with management and peers.
  • Review and report KPI metrics to facility management and contribute to goal setting.
  • Manage and report the facility P&L, understanding key drivers for achieving facility-level profitability.

 

Sales & Business Development

  • Maintain/increase the Sold and Occupancy rate of the facility, to ensure the robustness of the P&L, by meeting and negotiating with the customers 
  • Engage with restaurants/food brands on site as part of the relationship building and conducting the overall sales pitch
  • Utilize Salesforce to track outreach, organize the sales pipeline for maximum efficiency, and leverage on data to develop and optimize selling tactics/strategies to maximize success
