YOUR ROLE: 

Project Management at RAPP is a key capability that ensures that our accounts and the agency are continuously generating customer value through delivery excellence, operational efficiency and business growth.   

As a Project Manager you plan, execute and deliver. You set timelines, manage resources and tasks against budget and address challenges that may arise head on. You are passionate about the space, are creative and solutions oriented, and have exceptional people skills. 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop schedules, milestones and dependencies using PM tools such as MS Project, Workfront or Smartsheet.
  • Monitor project progress against timelines & budgets, effectively communicate status and proactively mitigate risks. Be comfortable adapting to changes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build project budgets and forecasts, proactively identifying financial risks, and escalating when needed.
  • Develop and maintain clear and concise project documentation using tools such as Sharepoint, Teams and Confluence.
  • Allocate and manage resources efficiently. Coordinate with team members to ensure deliverables are understood and that milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Lead efficient meetings and conference calls. Ensures timely conference notes and action steps taken.
  • Work with internal teams on needed revisions/modifications/enhancements; and involving the quality assurance team at key project junctures.
  • Ensure project team, including management as appropriate, is continually updated on client’s programs, including successes, issues, concerns and feedback
  • Hold project retrospectives and ensure the use of best practices and apply lessons learned from previous projects.
  • Participate in and complete continual training and professional development as detailed within the department.
  • Maintain a positive, proactive mindset that fosters collaboration, adaptability and a solutions-oriented approach to challenges.
  • Maintain an understanding of industry trends and research industry-related media.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience managing projects (preferably within an interactive advertising or marketing agency environment)
  • Knowledge of project management principles, methods and techniques
  • Understanding of technical and creative design and development principles, specifically for email/digital development
  • Experience managing resources, budgets and project timing
  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong business writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstration of drive and initiative
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment

EDUCATION and OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficient in MS office products (PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Word) and project management tools, including MS Project, Workfront, Atlassian, Smartsheet or others 
  • Experience in the government industry a plus

RAPP's current hybrid model is designed to enable in-person connections and collaboration that is core to our culture, while also supporting flexibility for all employees. As such, we have the option to work from home two days per week, if we'd like.

This range is specific to Chicago and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
