The Finance team is seeking an Accountant in this fast growing, globally distributed company. This role will report to an Accounting Manager based out of Bangalore, India

As a GL Accountant, you will be working on the Cash Management, Leases & Fixed Asset processes. You will handle the daily bank downloads, prepare journals, bank matches & perform account reconciliations, perform reporting for monthly MIS, participate in automation projects, among other tasks. You will partner & work closely with various departments within the Finance & Accounting org.

You will be a self starter, problem solver, diligent and flexible.

To succeed in this position, the GL Accountant will be both an independent contributor and a phenomenal teammate; and will have a passion for recognizing areas of improvements that chip in to the overall process.

What You'll Do:

  • Extract bank statements from the bank portal and prepare journals
  • Work on cash entries, bank matches and reconciliations and keep them up to date
  • Perform close activities, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all entries prior to GL close, reconciliations and follow-up on open items with different departments
  • Extract reports and capitalize the assets as per the Company’s FA policy
  • Working on additions, disposals and transfer entries for FA
  • Review of expense accounts related to FA and run the depreciation
  • Preparation of Fixed asset roll forward
  • Basic lease related entries, reconciling GLs pertaining to leases
  • Month end and Quarter end reporting related activities
  • Basic understanding of SOX controls
  • Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business processes

What You Bring:

  • CA credentials are preferred, bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • Atleast 1-3 years of accounting experience with high-growth tech public company/ MNC.
  • US GAAP related working experience.
  • Experience in working with FP&A, General ledger Team, Consolidations, Transfer pricing calculations.
  • Advanced Excel skills and deep experience working with NetSuite is an advantage.
  • Prior experience with Big Four preferred
  • Experience with Alteryx preferred.
  • Experience with Exactly/CEA a bonus preferred.
  • Outstanding attention to detail coupled with an ability to see a bigger picture.
