Sr. Technical Program Manager, JP Pricing and Promotion, Japan Store Tech

The Amazon Japan, Pricing and Promotions team (JPOP) is seeking hard-working, talented and passionate Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) with a well balance business and technical acumen to innovate inside the Pricing and Incentives space.

The JP Pricing and Promotions team is part of the greater Japan Store Tech, a global software development group based in Tokyo, Japan.

The team innovates to improve customer experience by increasing both price competitiveness and incentives offerings in the JP marketplace. We are responsible for building, owning and enhancing systems supporting JP specific pricing, promotions & deals requirements, scaling and exporting our systems globally when applicable.

As a Sr. Technical Program Manager (TPM) in the team, you will have the opportunity to lead the development of new exciting features that supports requirements across Retail, Digital and 3P, and work with a highly talented team, shaping the direction of our technology stack and business strategy.

This role requires hands-on project management skills, deep technical expertise, and excellent leadership skills. You will be responsible for collecting business and systems requirements from internal and external customers, writing specifications, driving project schedules from design to release, sending project updates, managing stakeholders communication and production launch. You will also be responsible for setting project management standards and expectations and delivering large, cross functional projects. 2. Interfacing with multiple teams (Tech, Business, Legal) on various projects
3. Managing project plan and schedule
4. Sending project reports and managing stakeholder communication.

- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
