The Business Operations Manager for US Prime & Marketing Tech [UPMT] is a highly-visible role that serves as a business liaison, thought partner to UPMT leadership on critical business and technical topics, and process owner for operational mechanisms that span across the organization.

A qualified candidate for this position possesses deep knowledge and expertise in operational processes (e.g., OP1, QBR, PRFAQs, Goal Management) as well as select technical or business fields, and is expected to develop a broad business understanding across UPMT and North American Stores more generally.

The ideal candidate is an experienced leader who communicates and influences effectively at all levels of the broader organization, thinks strategically, takes initiative, leads by example, and operates efficiently in a complex, global, and dynamic environment. You will gain a deep business understanding across the UPMT organization and adjacent teams as well as insights into leadership operations at scale across multi-functional, multi-layered teams.

Key job responsibilities
Strategic planning and operational mechanisms:
- Manage the OP1 and QBR processes across UPMT teams including ownership and delivery of high-quality documents
- Manage creation and submission of sections for NAS-level OP1, QBR, Goals and other planning documents as required
- Ensure implementation, execution, and auditing of organizational operating mechanisms, including recommendations for strategic deployment of leader’s time; tracking of goals, escalations, and forward-looking program updates; and review of strategic documents for presentation to NAS leadership and above
- Lead projects that require a single-threaded owner outside the existing program areas on an ad-hoc basis
- Ensure adequate follow-up management of leader-requested action items or questions
- Participate in and lead select internal press release reviews and strategic deep dives

Leadership and communication:
- Align and execute agenda/topics for UPMT leadership (weekly staff meetings, offsite meetings, etc.)
- Foster international relationship building (EU/India/Middle East) and connect with global teams
- Support effective communication of vision, priorities, and leadership culture across the organization (e.g., through leadership speaking opportunities, All Hands, engagement of extended leadership team, networking events) in liaison with UPMT leadership and HR
- Review all notes and action items prior to distribution for UPMT meetings with NAS leadership and above
- Drive content creation for internal and external executive presentations
- Prepare briefing documents for select external meetings
- Screen business opportunities and inquiries by taking select meetings on behalf of the UPMT leadership
- Develop and drive UPMT leadership calendar (e.g., local and global off-sites, All Hands, broadcasts, and extended leadership team engagement)

- 6+ years of team management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product- Experience engaging and influencing senior executives

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $160,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $265,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
