Job Summary

This position is responsible for driving the business forward managing a team delivering on both city sales and account management for our largest cities. This position will focus the teams on action plans and goals that cut through the noise inherent in the government process, focusing the team on what needs to get done.

This position will be responsible for scooter slot growth in the Canada as well as the maintenance of current accounts in Canada. This position will be expected to retain and win slots in 2025 allowing Bird Canada to deploy 4,000 net new vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for growth into new cities in Canada.
  • Manage Canada city strategy focused on profitable growth throughout each province.
  • Maintenance of current city accounts responsible for ~40MM CAD
  • Work collaboratively with Canada GM and Regional Operations Managers to meet and exceed City KPIs
  • Work cross-functionally with Government Partnerships Team, Product and Operations to ensure Canadian markets access newest technology available to them

Must Haves:

  • 5-7 years progressive experience in Sales or Government Relations, preferably both
  • Ability to build, and/or strengthen relationships with city officials of key cities
  • Ability to train others to  build, and/or strengthen relationships with city officials of key cities
  • Strategic ability to build processes that do not rely on third parties to build relationships with key city stakeholders allowing Bird to internalize relationship building and management
  • Collaborate cross functionally to ensure that Bird fulfills all obligations required by the cities and ensure that the company remains responsive to local concerns as they emerge
  • Build  close relationships with Bird’s local General Manager(s) and local operations teams to identify, evaluate and prioritize opportunities to improve policy 
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • Applicants must be authorized to work without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work visa sponsorship.
