Who We Are

WillowTree, a TELUS Digital Company, partners with the world’s leading brands to help them tackle their thorniest challenges - be it launching new digital products, delivering personalized marketing at scale, or harnessing the power of data and AI to transform their business. These mission-critical initiatives aren’t solved by a single discipline. Great digital is a team game - it requires seamlessly combining strategy, engineering, design, data science, marketing, and more. Other firms have bolted on these capabilities - as digital natives, we’ve built them into our teams from Day 1. The result? Top and bottom lines that grow, alongside our client’s capabilities. Check out how we have impacted our clients' digital portfolios over the years.

In January 2023, WillowTree was acquired by TELUS Digital (Symbol: TIXT).  The combined company brings an unparalleled ability to deliver seamless, trusted, digitally-enabled experiences across any channel a customer might choose - be it mobile apps, websites, voice skills, chatbots, email, service agents, or associates.

You’ll make a direct impact on the success of our teams, clients, and company through your research and mentorship. You’ll design and lead research spanning every step of the product life cycle, from kick-off and understanding business and consumer needs before we build products, to assuring the products we build provide a useful and seamless experience, to measuring the impact of our products once shipped.

We understand our responsibility to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive place within the tech industry, while pushing to make our industry more representative. Because of this responsibility, we need candidates who value diversity and inclusion through their work, team collaboration, or mentorship.

  • Balance quantitative and qualitative research methods to drive product direction and implementation
  • Compile and present findings to stakeholders in a clear, actionable, and compelling way

  • Mentor and coach early career researchers on the team

Qualifications

  • Experience leading quantitative, qualitative, and user-centered research methods (e.g. survey design and analysis, ethnographic research, interviews, usability tests, experimental design, competitive landscapes, secondary research, etc.)

  • Can select appropriate research methods considering timelines and constraints
  • Can build strong client partnerships and work with cross-functional stakeholders to design research engagements to guide business and product decisions
  • Can effectively recognize patterns, disentangle confounding variables, and synthesize complex information and findings into actionable and compelling insights and presentations for technical and non-technical clients and team members
  • Ability to apply basic statistical concepts and tests (t-tests, ANOVA, confidence intervals, sampling, generalizability, etc) to analysis
  • Strong background in qualitative research including moderating skills, questionnaire design, discourse analysis, contextual inquiry, and interpretive coding and analysis.
  • Ability and desire to mentor, coach, and train team members
