Accounts Payable Specialist

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant Accounts Payable to manage and optimise key aspects of our accounts payable operations. In this role, you will ensure the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, in full compliance with company policies and financial regulations. You will play a critical role in supporting the implementation of ERP systems and automation tools, streamlining AP functions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting. You will also collaborate closely with vendors, assist with month-end close activities, and ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.

At A Glance

• Oversee the daily processing of invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies and financial regulations.
• Contribute to the continuous enhancement of AP processes, including the implementation of ERP systems and AP automation tools, aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing reliance on manual tasks.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with key vendors. Address and resolve complex billing and payment issues promptly, negotiate favorable payment terms, and ensure smooth vendor operations.
• Assist with the AP-related month-end close process, ensuring accurate reconciliations, accruals, and preparation of all required documentation for financial close and audits.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls, legal standards, and internal procedures. Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring all AP records are well-documented and ready for review.
• Work closely with other departments such as Finance and Operations to ensure seamless coordination on financial reporting and payment processing.

What Will Impress Us

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Solid and relevant experience in accounts payable, with a focus on process improvement and automation.
• Experience with ERP systems and AP automation tools, ideally in a high-growth or SaaS environment.
• Strong understanding of AP processes, month-end close procedures, and account reconciliations.
• Knowledge of internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit readiness is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both vendors and internal teams.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
