Payroll Specialist

The Role

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees across the US, Canada, EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa), and APAC (Asia-Pacific) regions. This role requires expertise in regional and international payroll processes, tax laws, and employment regulations. You will ensure compliance with payroll laws, work closely with HR, finance, and external vendors, and play a critical role in supporting global payroll operations.

At A Glance

• Manage the end-to-end payroll process for employees in the US, Canada, EMEA, and APAC regions, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and provincial tax regulations, labor laws for the US and Canada, and adherence to payroll regulations and tax laws in EMEA and APAC regions.
• Review payroll data for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and generate detailed reports on payroll expenses, taxes, and benefits for multiple regions.
• Work closely with HR, finance, and external vendors to ensure accurate employee data, smooth integration with benefits, and compliance with taxation systems across regions.
• Assist with payroll audits, reconciliations, and compliance reviews for US, Canadian, EMEA, and APAC payrolls.
• Ensure consistent tax withholdings and reporting across multiple regions, collaborating with regional teams where necessary.
• Continuously look for ways to optimise payroll processes, ensuring efficiency and consistency across all payroll cycles.
• Assist in the integration of new payroll systems or upgrades, with a focus on compliance and operational efficiency.

What Will Impress Us

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Solid experience in payroll, with a strong focus on US, Canada, EMEA, and APAC payroll.
• In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, tax laws, and employment regulations in the US, Canada, EMEA, and APAC regions.
• Experience working with global payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, Bamboo HR).
• Strong understanding of international payroll tax practices
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll management tools.
