*** Position is Hybrid working 4 days onsite in Pleasanton, CA.

Job Description

The Senior Accountant is a key member of the Finance team responsible for supporting the general ledger accounting function, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role will involve a variety of accounting duties, including journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for various general ledger accounts, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaids, and accruals. 
  • Assist with the month-end close process, including account reconciliations, variance analysis, and preparation of supporting schedules. 
  • Research and analyze accounting issues and ensure compliance with US GAAP. 
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules. 
  • Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors. 
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of internal controls. 
  • Work closely with the India-based accounting team to ensure efficient and accurate financial reporting. 
  • Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed. 
  • Collaborate closely with other departments, including Sales, Finance, Legal, and Tax. 
  • Work closely with the India-based accounting team to ensure efficient and accurate financial reporting. This requires meeting with India team, that maybe early in the morning or late in the evening.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. 
  • CPA certification preferred. 
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in accounting, with at least 2 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred). 
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP. 
  • Experience with ERP systems mainly, NetSuite. 
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail

The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across applicable US locations. The actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to the compensation listed, this position may be eligible for equity compensation, and a bonus or commission whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual or company performance. Base Salary Range
$106,000$144,000 USD
