Position Overview
As a Senior Product Designer at Vonage, you will drive the design of our products, ensuring user-centered experiences across multiple platforms. You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, and other cross-functional teams to create features that meet both user needs and business goals. In addition to leading design initiatives, you'll mentor junior designers, establish and improve design processes, and contribute to the overall design culture at Vonage.

What you will do:

  • Lead the design process from discovery to delivery, including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Conduct user research to gather insights and improve designs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and ensure smooth implementation.
  • Advocate for the user and align designs with business goals.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback and user testing.
  • Establish and improve design work processes for better team collaboration.
  • Conduct workshops to share knowledge and insights.
  • Create and maintain design documentation for development teams.
  • Ensure consistency in design systems and align with Vonage’s brand and UX standards.
  • Mentor junior designers and help them grow.
  • Stay current with design trends and tools to enhance user experiences.

 What you will bring:

  • 5+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio.
  • Experience in user-centered design, including research, wireframing, and high-fidelity visual design.
  • Proficiency in design tools like Figma or similar.
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and visual design.
  • Experience working in agile teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with design systems and creating design guidelines.
  • Passion for solving design problems and delivering accessible user experiences.
  • Attention to detail and ability to balance design with technical feasibility.

Desired:

  • Experience with mobile and web design, especially in cloud communications, SaaS, or enterprise products.
  • Experience in contact center solutions and customer-facing apps.
  • Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design.
  • AI knowledge and an understanding of how AI can enhance user experience and product design.
