We’re seeking a Sr. Full-Stack Engineer to take ownership of building cutting-edge, scalable solutions that will directly impact how businesses collect revenue and manage their payments. In this role, you’ll play a key part in architecting and building user-facing components of our payment infrastructure, which is designed to remove fees, increase payment speed, and automate processes for businesses worldwide.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Own the architecture and implementation of critical user-facing components within Paystand’s B2B payment network, powered by Blockchain and AI.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product owners to create innovative solutions that redefine how businesses handle accounts receivable (A/R) and payments.
• Lead the design of scalable, reusable libraries and frameworks that will power Paystand’s fast-growing ecosystem.
• Drive technical innovation to ensure Paystand’s platform remains at the cutting edge of payment processing, optimizing for speed, security, and scalability.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to other engineers, ensuring high standards of quality, performance, and security in everything we build.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure smooth integration of Paystand’s SaaS-based payment infrastructure with customer workflows.
• Advocate for continuous improvement by iterating and evolving development processes to better serve our growing customer base.

Requirements and qualifications: 

Experience: Minimum of 8 years building web, mobile-web, or hybrid mobile applications, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility and independence.

Technical Skills:

• Strong background in Computer Science and Software Engineering.
• Proven expertise in Node.js & Express.js for backend development, with a strong focus on scalable RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6 and above) for front-end development.
• Advanced knowledge of front-end frameworks (Angular.js, React.js, Vue.js) and preprocessor stylesheet languages like Sass and Less.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Familiarity with Blockchain technology and interest in financial inclusion is a plus.

Bonus Skills:

• Knowledge of other web libraries and frameworks
• Experience with event-driven service architectures, message queueing technologies (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka), and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and decentralized payment systems.
• Contribution to open-source projects or active involvement in the tech community.
