Job Summary

We are working hard to build our brand awareness in Europe and believe much of this will come from building a clear voice for our brand and building engagement through social channels.


The Marketing Manager- Europe will be responsible for building our brand voice and engagement communities through our DTC website and social media for key European markets including the UK, Germany, France, Poland, and Spain. A fully remote position, the role is based in the Netherlands.

Working closely with the small UK based European team and our HQ colleagues in California your creative and brand skills will enable us to grow faster.As part of the European regional team, you will be asked to support on a range of marketing activities aimed at growing the business in the region.

With many markets to cover (with some key focus markets) we require somebody who can innovate and test ideas in many different markets - comfortable executing as well as being strategic, you can manage agencies as well as being happy to be hands on.

 

Job Expectations

A creative individual with a passion for building brands through social, you will have strong experience engaging and building social communities and content for a brand or retailer.

Social Media and Marketing for Europe:

  • Understand local customer behavior to provide a clear view of what resonates with customers in our key UK European markets, identifying target customer communities and creators and identifying key messaging which will resonate.
  • Create and execute a comprehensive social media strategy for TikTok and Instagram across the UK, Germany, France, Poland, and Spain with a view to rolling out to a wider set of markets.
  • Build and manage a strong follower base through organic and paid strategies on TikTok.
  • Design, produce, and curate engaging content that resonates with diverse European audiences.
  • Iterate creative to drive performance across channels such as Meta and Tiktok, working closely with internal and external partners to localise and drive performance.
  • Analyze channel reports from the key markets, translate findings into insights and actionable growth tactics. Report daily, weekly results and progress against spend and sales
  • Note: Paid social will be run by the performance marketing team but creative development and messaging will be a key part of this role to assist in developing the testing programme with the media execution team

Regional Marketing:

  • Enhance overall brand awareness, improve retention rates, and acquire new customers across multiple regions with a focus on content and brand messaging .
  • Reflect key promotional events in local marketing activity. Help to shape relevant local promotions for the channels we work with.
  • Oversee creative and new campaign launches, including marketing & promotions
  • Work with external agencies to manage local marketing execution
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies across influencers, social media, affiliates, OOH, and other channels where needed
  • Support and form new partnerships to optimize current marketing activity and programmes

About You

You should demonstrate a genuine passion for brand building and social media with proven ability in building brand engagement.

  • Super experienced in using Instagram, Tiktok and on top of trends - comfortable creating content on both channels.
  • Track record of working with talent, influencers and content creators
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to steer content ideas that work well on web and social channels
  • Hands on experience of building creator programmes and Tiktok Content, followers and advertising success
  • Experience of working across at least 1-2 European markets in a social and marketing role, ideally with experience of the UK market and other western or Eastern markets.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of e-commerce and social media experience in a consumer brand. Health & beauty industry would be advantageous (or at minimum a strong interest in Vitamins & Wellness)
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns and activations.
  • Experience working across other digital retail areas i.e. site promotions and content creation
  • Great project management skills
  • Confident and clear in your communication style with ability to convince others of your ideas and to engage audiences internally and externally.
  • Fluency in English and at least one other European language.
  • Understanding of social media metrics and ability to interpret data for strategic decisions and measuring against agreed KPIS - both reach, brand and commercially focused.
  • Degree required


Location:
Remote role, based in NL
Must have the right to work in Netherlands and be a tax payer in Netherlands but the role is fully remote.
