Job Description

About Us

At Prenuvo, we are on a mission to flip the paradigm from reactive “sick-care” to proactive health care. Our award-winning whole body scan is fast (under 1 hour), safe (MRI has no ionizing radiation), and non-invasive (no contrast). Our unique integrated stack of optimized hardware, software, and increasingly AI, coupled with the patient-centric experience across our domestic and global clinics, have allowed us to lead the change against “we caught it too late again".

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Scientist (MRI Safety / MRSE Qualified) on a contractor basis to support our preparations for CQC registration and provide ongoing MR safety governance and training. This is a critical short-term project-based role with potential for longer-term collaboration. Estimated initial engagement will be 1-2 days/week over 2–3 months. There is additional scope for continued advisory work post-CQC registration

You’ll bring advanced expertise in MRI safety and regulations to help us launch our flagship London whole-body MRI clinic safely and in full compliance with UK regulatory standards.

Help reshape the world through proactive healthcare while working with cutting-edge technology and high performing teams with deep expertise - join us to make a difference in people’s lives!

What You'll Do

CQC Registration Support

  • Provide expert input on MR safety aspects of CQC application documentation, including SOPs, training logs, patient safety policies, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with UK MRI safety regulations (MHRA, IPEM, HSE, CEMFAW, COSHH).
  • Review and advise on local rules, zoning diagrams, signage, and safety screening protocols.

MRI Safety Expertise

  • Act as designated MR Safety Expert for Prenuvo UK during setup and registration phases.
  • Conduct risk assessments for new MR installations and site-specific safety configurations.
  • Review and advise on safety protocols for implants, pregnancy, acoustic noise, and clinical contraindications.
  • Liaise with suppliers and engineers on technical safety queries.

Staff Training and Education

  • Deliver bespoke MR safety training for clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Recommend suitable e-learning or external accredited training.
  • Provide training documentation for CQC evidence.

Ongoing Advisory Support

  • Provide ad hoc MR safety advice to support operations as needed.
  • Participate in audits or compliance reviews post-registration if agreed.

What You’ll Bring

  • Registration as a Clinical Scientist (HCPC)
  • IPEM Certification as MRSE
  • In-depth knowledge of UK-specific MR safety legislation and best practice guidance
  • Experience supporting MRI setup, safety audits, and CQC/clinical inspections
  • Experience writing and reviewing technical documentation
  • Ability to train and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary clinical teams

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with private healthcare or startup clinics
  • Familiarity with advanced MRI technologies and whole-body MRI protocols
  • Ability to work autonomously and flexibly to project deadlines
