The Amazon Global Workforce Staffing (WFS) Organization is key to delivering our customer experiences around the globe. With 1million hourly associates hired annually and growing to more than 1million in the next 24 months, it is a key operational mechanism to ensure we deliver our customer experiences globally.

WFS Global Content is a dynamic and diverse team with members located in both North America and Europe. We help to enable employee self-sufficiency by providing simple, intuitive knowledge resources to our call center agents. We use a variety of data sources to better understand agent needs. We seek feedback from and partner with cross-functional teams to develop self-service solutions to help WFS create a world-class hiring experience for candidates.

Call center agents provide support globally through a variety of contact channels designed to meet the preferences of our candidates. Our goal is to empower call center agents to find the right answers at the right time as they support candidates throughout the hiring process.


Key job responsibilities
• Work closely with Technical Writers, WFS PMs, and PXT stakeholder to deliver on requests to update and publish content in our Content Management System (CMS) within defined contact SLAs and delivery timelines.
• Review and edit written content for grammar and spelling, accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.
• Coordinate and manage the content lifecycle, including defining and assigning editorial tasks, setting deadlines, and ensuring timely publication of materials.
• Transform segments of the content portfolio from single-use to a reusable “headless” content structure, chunking unstructured long-form content into structured components, and migration from multiple sources.
• Audit existing content and analyze data to maintain high standards of quality and consistency across all content.
• Keeping abreast of industry trends, style guide updates, and best practices in editing and publishing.
• Provide feedback and raise opportunities to improve content lifecycle processes and gain content efficiencies.


A day in the life
The Editor will be responsible for editing, proofreading, and publishing agent-facing short- and long-form content. A key aspect of this role is upholding service level agreements and operational excellence standards, ensuring timely and high-quality content delivery. You will support delivering content to a growing list of channels and audiences, including artificial intelligence applications.

The ideal candidate possesses exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and technical aptitude. Strong interpersonal skills, customer obsession, and the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders are essential. Curiosity about how things work, willingness to learn fast, and openness to getting and applying feedback in your work are crucial. You should be passionate about serving customers and will thrive in a dynamic global environment, adeptly context-switching and partnering at all levels of the organization to deliver results. Proficiency in one or more content management systems and content structures, with a desire to continuously learn and grow, is essential.

• 4+ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Editorial, or a related field or 2+ years Amazon experience
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• High attention to detail and adherence to style guidelines.
• Experience working with reusable or “headless" content
• Advanced English language skills with full proficiency in grammar, spelling, and punctuation (minimum C1)
• Professional content management experience in a system like Adobe Experience Manager, Contentful, or WordPress
• Project management experience
• Experience working with reusable or “headless” content
• Demonstrated success learning and explaining business processes
• Demonstrated knowledge of SEO principles
• Good judgment and open communication
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple stakeholder needs in a fast-paced environment
• Work experience in a global and cross-functional team environment
• Experience with content metrics and analysis
• Experience with or exposure to Amazon business processes
• Experience in a multi-language publishing environment managing content for an international audience
