Responsibilities

We are looking for an exceptional Diversity, Inclusivity, and Belonging Intern/Coordinator to join our growing team to join on a part time basis. In this role, you will be involved in supporting the planning and execution of our Sales Kick Off (SKO) event in Seattle, ensuring that our diversity and inclusivity objectives are met through effective coordination and collaboration.

In this role, you will also be responsible to:

  • Project Management of DI&B initiatives for Sales Kick Off: Travel to Seattle from March 2 to March 8 for our SKO event, with all travel expenses covered by the company. This is a non-negotiable requirement and an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in our vibrant company culture.

  • Empower our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs): Support ERGs in achieving their project deadlines for the SKO launch. Your organizational skills and attention to detail will be instrumental in ensuring smooth and timely execution.

  • Collaborate with the DI&B Council: Work closely with our DI&B Council to ensure that all SKO event milestones are met. Your input will help shape an inclusive and impactful event experience.

  • Foster Strong Stakeholder Relationships: Liaise with external stakeholders, including esteemed guest speakers, to gather and organize essential information. Your communication skills will ensure seamless coordination and successful engagement.

  • Coordinate with Internal Teams: Partner with our Admin and Brand teams to oversee the production and setup of event swag. Your creativity and project management skills will ensure that everything is perfectly prepared for the big day.

  • Orchestrate Memorable Events: Assist in planning and executing a variety of SKO events, including the ERG Launch, Panel Discussion, Sponsored Cocktail Hour, Executive Leadership Training, and Roundtable Discussion. Your enthusiasm and organizational prowess will bring these events to life.

  • Adapt and Contribute: Undertake ad-hoc duties as directed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the team's success in any way necessary.

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

  • Enrollment in a college program, ideally with a focus or interest in Diversity, Inclusivity, and Belonging, Human Resources, or a related field.

  • Previous experience in event coordination or project management, either through internships, volunteer work, or student organizations, is highly desirable.

  • Proficiency in using productivity and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and project management software.

  • [Non-negotiable] Availability for travel to Seattle for the SKO event from March 2 to March 8 (company-paid travel).

Soft Skills / Personal Characteristics

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and collaborating effectively with internal teams and external partners.

  • Demonstrates a passion for DI&B initiatives, with a strong desire to create meaningful change and foster inclusive environments.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving, with the ability to take initiative and adapt to new challenges.

For California residents, the hourly rate is $20 - $25/hour and this is a part-time role with a maximum of 20 hours per week.
