Skyscanner is a dynamic, innovative and thriving metasearch travel company on a mission to help travellers plan and book their trip with ease and confidence. We're looking for a Senior Manager with an inquisitive nature, a solution-oriented mindset and an appetite to drive change, to join our Analytics team and own our Geo Growth Analytics function.
In this high-visibility role, you will lead a small team of analysts and will work in close collaboration with our Geo Growth team, our Marketing & Commerical teams and our Finance partners to shape and measure the impact of differentiated Marketing strategies designed to accelerate growth or maintain leadership positions in strategic markets.
This will entail leveraging Market research, designing and maintaining efficient market level performance monitoring and diagnostics tools, conducting analysis to identify and size market level opportunities and propose measurement frameworks to optimise our Market level marketing strategies over time (leveraging tools such as geo testing, causal inference or Marketing Mix Modelling).
What will this role be responsible for delivering on?
- Designing or maintaining performance monitoring & diagnostics tools, leveraging internal and external data sources (to inform demand and competitor trends)
- Contributing to democratising a clear, yet comprehensive narrative of our end-to-end business performance at a market level
- Conducting complex ad’hoc performance investigations to identify & size underlying performance drivers and highlight potential actions to further boost performance
- Leveraging Market research and analysis to inform our market level strategy, in partnership with Geo Growth, Commercial, Product and Finance leads
- Developing measurement frameworks to size the causal impact of our marketing approaches on success metrics in our Strategic markets, and to optimise performance over time (leveraging tools such as geo testing, causal inference and Marketing Mix Modelling)
- Partnering with Finance to produce accurate market level forecasts
- Managing relationships with external providers of Market data and insights
What skills do we need?
- Experience in managing and developing analysts at all levels
- Expertise in Tableau dashboards design and data visualisation
- A proven ability to guide your team in efficiently conducting performance investigations, often in collaboration with other analytics teams or Business leads, to identify and quantify underlying performance drivers.
- A strong understanding of Marketing channels and levers and experience in carrying out geo testing or leveraging Marketing measurement tools such as Marketing Mix Modelling
- Experience in leveraging Market research to inform performance narratives and identify risks/opportunities
- A proven ability to efficiently work cross-functionally (i.e. communicating and collaborating with multiple teams across the Business)
- Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills. Experienced in communicating to a Senior audience
- Solution / action oriented, autonomous and proactive
- SQL skills and experience of Python for data analysis is a plus.
