Associate Product Manager, Billing & Collections

Working as part of a Product oriented delivery team focused on Billing & Collections, this role is accountable for supporting and optimizing billing and collections systems, ensuring efficient operations, and aligning processes that positively impact customers and meet requirements for financial policies and compliances. Toast customers rely on our operations every day to serve their customers and this role will have a direct impact on their ability to be successful.

You will be a great fit for this role if you have experience operating at the intersection of business and technology, focussing on  analysis and insights to inform product development decisions, building functional requirements that developers love to solve for. You enjoy working through tough conversations on how to build the right thing, operating with a customer first mentality and then thoroughly reviewing and testing the product to ensure it meets the needs of stakeholders and the engineers that will provide ongoing support. Thriving in fast-paced environments, you feel urgency to deliver solutions to the most challenging problems. You love working with a variety of different roles and skill sets and operate as a critical point of stability and knowledge for your domain.

About this roll* (Responsibilities)  

  • Ability to identify problems, analyze their root causes, and propose data-driven solutions. 
  • Requirement gathering, clean documentation, functional AS IS vs TO BE process flows, alignment across multiple stakeholders and dependent teams
  • Translates business concepts and requirements into software solutions and roadmaps, ensuring accurate documentation and alignment with stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with technical and non-technical teams to define, design, test and implement specific functional requirements of the system, as specified by the Product leaders and technology stakeholders (e.g., Systems Architects, Engineers).
  • Lead and drive Business User Testing and coordination activities, review QA test scenarios
  • Work with application teams to develop manual/automated test plans to validate the functionality implemented throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Supports the root cause analysis and remediation process to resolve defects and/or issues reported by product/application teams and stakeholders.
  • Identify and capture improvement opportunities (both functional and non-functional) to improve product quality and performance based on input provided by technology team members 
  • Coordinates with business leads on deliverables for training and adoption and business readiness for feature go live.

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • 2-3 years of technical Product Management/Product Analyst experience preferably in Product companies/ consulting firms
  • Experience/ Knowledge in Quote to Cash area across SFDC, Zuora is a plus
  • Bachelors’ degree in computer science engineering,  or Any Finance related field
  • Masters in Business Administration or Post Graduation in Finance fields
  • Mastery of systems analysis, including root cause analysis and other process modeling and systems design methodologies
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle cross-functional communications
  • Ability to multi-task and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to think independently and consider cross-functional, upstream, and downstream impacts
  • Excellent understanding of Product Life Cycle Methodologies, particularly in Agile Scrum

  • Experience with Integration tools or iPaas Solutions
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with NetSuite
