Associate, Strategic Finance

The Finance, Strategy & Analytics team is responsible for providing data-driven insights to inform strategic, financial, and operational decision-making across the company. We’re seeking an Associate to work with the Financial Technology leadership team, generating insights for business planning and strategic projects. This is a high impact role that offers exposure to senior leadership and the chance to enhance shareholder value in a high-growth product line.

About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

• Communicate clearly, knowledgeably, and transparently with cross-functional stakeholders to build trusted relationships and enhance business outcomes
• Be a thought partner to business stakeholders and drive strategic decision-making in a fast-paced environment
• Build sophisticated financial models, synthesize outputs into concise presentations, and analyze variances between actuals and forecasts to drive executive decision-making
• Define and build financial forecasts, dashboards, and metrics that track business performance
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses with data-driven investigations to identify and address risks and opportunities for the business
• Continuously look for opportunities to optimize processes and models that will provide timely and relevant insights across the business
• Use SQL and BI tools to automate reporting and generate insights that will allow business leaders to quickly and accurately see how our business is performing

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, private equity/credit, transaction advisory, or other related roles
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills. Ability to build robust financial models used by teams throughout the company to size opportunities and build business cases for pursuing new initiatives
• A data-driven mindset with experience in data visualization and analysis
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills amongst a range of audiences
• Positive attitude, high attention to detail, and collaborative
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, and evolving environment
• Effective project management skills; highly organized, independent, and self-motivated

Special Sauce* (Nice to Haves)

• Experience in unit economics and/or cohort analysis to drive data-informed strategic decision-making and operational efficiency across key business functions
• Proficient in SQL or experience with BI tools
• Background building interactive dashboards in a tool such as Hex, Looker, Snowflake, etc.

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions, if eligible), benefits, and equity (if eligible).
