At Amazon, we’re building a world class last mile operation, significantly complimented by Amazon Flex. Amazon Flex crowdsources independent contractors – called Delivery Partners (DPs) – to coordinate deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, individuals can now be their own boss delivering Amazon packages. Amazon Flex is powered by a mobile app that works in concert with our advanced systems, allowing partners to sign in, grab an offer for a delivery block, check out a map of the location, and start delivering.
The Flex Australia Operations team is looking for a dynamic and experienced Sr. Program Manager to lead operations programs and product implementation. A successful Program Manager must be able to work independently, be comfortable with ambiguity, and be able to influence internal/external partners at all levels of the organization. This role will particularly suit someone with strong analytical abilities, relationship building skills, and stellar project management capabilities. To be successful, you must also have very strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as you will own communicating program progress very crisply in various business reviews.
This role requires formulating strategies driven through in-depth analysis and due diligence considering legal, product, program, public relation, and communication points of view. Stakeholder management is a substantial element of the role and daily bandwidth. This role will manage large, complex initiatives, deal with ambiguity, balance speed with quality, and advocate on behalf of the customer to provide high-performance solutions.
Key job responsibilities
- Program Strategy: Lead the development of strategies for major operations programs such as Driver Quality, CBD Delivery, and Same Day/Sub Same Day delivery.
- Program Management: Oversee all aspects of operations programs, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting. Develop detailed project plans, allocate resources effectively, and ensure timely delivery of key milestones.
- Product Implementation: Own implementation and localization of major tech products and features, working with internal product and program partner teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including product, marketing, operations, Service Level Standards, driver support, and finance teams, to align operations programs initiatives with overall business objectives. Hold strong relationships and facilitate communication to drive collaboration and consensus.
- Performance Tracking and Analysis: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of operations programs. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data, and provide regular updates to senior leadership on program status, including achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operations processes and enhance organizational capabilities. Solicit feedback from stakeholders, conduct post-launch reviews, and implement lessons learned to inform future initiatives.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement delivery programs that enhance both partner and customer experiences. You'll analyze data to identify opportunities, facilitate stakeholder discussions, and guide strategic initiatives from conception to completion. Your day might include reviewing performance metrics, mentoring team members, and presenting program updates to leadership.

- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
