The opportunity:

At Flexport, our mission to make global commerce so easy there will be more of it.  We believe that global trade should work better for everyone.  Over the last decade, we have grown faster than  any freight forwarder in history by taking a technology first approach to the industry’s biggest challenges and building a team of passionate experts to transform global logistics. 

As a member of the Account Management team, your mission will be to proactively grow new and existing client relationships by building and implementing solutions to their supply chain challenges. This is the golden opportunity to help expand our business in Vietnam. 

You will:

  • Develop and launch new solutions that meet the needs of the largest and most complex global freight forwarding clients.
  • Accelerate the growth of all services across the Flexport Portfolio including Air, Ocean, Domestic and Cross-border Logistics, Trade Advisory, Customs, PO Management.
  • Partner with global teams in North America, Europe and Asia to identify expansion opportunities with our existing accounts to expand Flexport’s business.
  • Work cross-functionally across Ocean/Air/Logistics Operations, Procurement, Implementation, Legal, Industry SMEs, and Trade and Financial Services teams – to develop and execute on client strategies to maximize outcomes.
  • Align management level customer contacts and maintain relationships with critical stakeholders at some of the world’s largest brands
  • Stay informed on the latest industry and supply chain developments, and proactively educate and support your clients through change.

You should have:

  • 6+ years client facing experience with a background in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain strongly preferred. 
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a strong track record of successfully delivering innovation and driving results.
  • Experience working in complicated global team matrices to drive desirable solutions and results on a global level. 
  • Experience building client relationships locally and globally and leveraging those relationships to grow the business partnership. 
  • Strategic thinker and disciplined planner; able to operationalize strategic plans; well organized. 
  • Effective communication on all channels (written, verbal, phone, media) with strong english proficiency for aligning global stakeholders. Chinese language proficiency would be a bonus. 
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills 
  • Highly collaborative; track record of building strong internal and external relationships. 
  • High integrity and ethics; style and behavior align with Flexport’s values
  • A "compliance first" attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry.
  • Hanoi office location is in Hanoi
  • Willing to travel to other provinces in the North to meet clients and factories.
