Design & build solutions to help Flexport scale

The opportunity:

As a Salesforce Developer you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform to support Flexport's growth. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to implement new features, enhance existing functionalities, and ensure the overall health and performance of our Salesforce environment. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of business processes.

You will:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Salesforce solutions using declarative and programmatic methods (Apex, Lightning Components, etc.)
• Participate in requirements gathering, analysis, and technical design sessions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Product, and business stakeholders, to deliver effective solutions
• Maintain and enhance the Salesforce security model, including roles, profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Salesforce and its integrations
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and deployment instructions
• Stay up-to-date with Salesforce releases and new features, and recommend best practices
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for the Salesforce platform and development processes
• Work within Agile methodologies (Scrum, CI/CD) to deliver projects efficiently

You should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator or Developer
• Salesforce Certified Administrator (required), Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder or Platform Developer I is a plus
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce declarative features and security model
• Experience with Salesforce development tools and technologies (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, etc.)
• Strong understanding of the Salesforce.com platform, ecosystem, and best practices
• Experience with integrated tools within the Salesforce ecosystem, such as DocuSign, Outreach, etc. is a plus,
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Jira, Scrum, CI/CD)
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
