We are looking for a Collections Specialist to help us with the collection process of our customers worldwide, working closely with our customers, Account Executives, Customer Success Managers and Billings. In addition, you will assist in facilitating the onboarding of customers, billing set-up and cash applications in a constantly changing environment with the goal of reaching established targets and results.  In line with Hootsuite's distributed workforce strategy, our flexible work arrangement allows for remote work or a hybrid model. This role is open to applicants located in Bucharest, Romania. In this role, you will report to the Manager, Accounting Operations. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Establish relations with customers to collect payment while maintaining quarterly targets
  • Resolve collection disputes utilizing appropriate leverage and procedures to successfully influence payment
  • Develop strategies and provide recommendations on actions for escalated cases related to customer disputes and non-responsive customers
  • Work with the Sales and Customer Success teams to jointly support the customer in any concern that could put timely payment at risk
  • Efficiently communicate with Hootsuite’s billing department 
  • Review amounts recommended to be uncollectible 
  • Manage reconciliation of accounts and customer records
  • Support the Sales Organization with onboarding of new customers

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Understanding of billing, collections and receivable procedures
  • Proficient in MS Excel 
  • Experience with Zuora, Zendesk, Netsuite, and Salesforce is a plus
