We're looking for a Corporate Communications Lead to help tell Asana's story and position us as the leading enterprise work management platform. Reporting to the Head of Communications, this global role presents a unique opportunity to join a well-known company with ambitious goals and a truly unique product story to tell. You'll help us build credibility with audiences worldwide via high-quality thought leadership, media relations, executive profiling, and corporate storytelling programs. The Asana Marketing team is responsible for fueling business growth and building a brand customers love. Our global team focuses on corporate and product marketing, revenue marketing, brand and advertising, content and creative, and digital, operations, and lifecycle marketing.

This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on your type of work and the teams with which you partner.

What you’ll achieve:

  • Help lead the development and execution of communications programs, including thought leadership, media relations, executive presence, and corporate storytelling
  • Source and develop powerful narratives by identifying compelling stories, perspectives, data points, and news angles from across the organization
  • Deeply understand and internalize our product vision and innovation roadmap to find clever, relevant ways to take our differentiated story outward
  • Partner with marketing peers to build integrated quarterly plans that amplify broader marketing objectives and maximize cross-functional impact
  • Collaborate with internal thought leaders and executives to build external profiles through speaking engagements, bylined articles, media opportunities
  • Manage and oversee global PR agency relationships, ensuring operational excellence, measurable outcomes, and maximum effectiveness
  • Oversee effective analysis and reporting for monthly and quarterly reviews to ensure our program is having impact in the right places
  • Draft concise, yet detailed, briefing materials to prepare the CEO and leadership team for media interviews and speaking opportunities
  • Write media materials, social assets, blogs and other assets that are clear, concise and effectively land our story with external audiences.

About you:

  • 8-10 years of communications experience in-house, agency, or both
  • Exceptional storytelling abilities with a talent for finding and crafting compelling stories
  • Understanding of the SaaS space, current AI trends and enterprise business challenges
  • Outstanding writing skills with the ability to produce high-quality content with minimal editing
  • Experience in issues management and crisis communications
  • Experience managing external agency relationships and driving accountability for results
  • High level of emotional intelligence, collaboration, creativity and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $164,000 - $208,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
