As we continue to grow and expand our global presence, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director of Inclusion and Belonging (I&B) to lead our efforts in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion across all aspects of our organization.  

The Senior Director of Inclusion and Belonging will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive I&B initiatives and programs across The Trade Desk. Reporting directly to the VP, People & Organizational Development, the Senior Director of I&B will collaborate with senior leadership, People Operations, and other stakeholders to drive a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion that fosters innovation, creativity, and high performance. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Develop and implement a strategic I&B plan aligned with the company's values, business objectives, and industry best practices.
  • Partner with senior leadership to integrate I&B principles into all aspects of the organization, including talent acquisition, retention, promotion, and development.
  • Lead the design and delivery of I&B training and education programs for employees at all levels, fostering awareness, empathy, and cultural competence.
  • Collaborate with HR to establish inclusive recruitment and hiring practices to attract diverse talent and reduce bias in the hiring process.
  • Implement systems and processes to measure, track, and report on I&B metrics and outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and driving accountability.
  • Serve as a visible and accessible advocate for I&B, both internally and externally, representing TTD at industry conferences, events, and forums.
  • Stay current of emerging trends, research, and legislation related to I&B, advising leadership on opportunities and risks.
  • Foster partnerships with external organizations, community groups, and suppliers to advance I&B initiatives and drive positive social impact.
  • Champion a culture of belonging, respect, and inclusion where all employees feel valued, heard, and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives. 

Who you are: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion roles, preferably in a technology or fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of designing and implementing successful I&B initiatives that drive tangible results and cultural change.
  • Strong understanding of I&B best practices, theories, and frameworks, with a commitment to staying current on emerging trends and research.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and inspire stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in data analysis and metrics tracking to evaluate the effectiveness of I&B programs and initiatives.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including ERGs, community organizations, and diversity partners.
  • Passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a deep commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace culture where all employees can thrive. 

 

NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only: In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.  Employees can also purchase The Trade Desk stock at a discount through The Trade Desk’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$164,900β€”$302,400 USD
