Nutrition Intern - Summer 2025

Are you passionate about nutrition, empowering others, and supporting an individual's health and wellness journey? As a Nutrition Intern you will learn how agile teams at MyFitnessPal work towards creating value for our users. During this internship, you’ll have the opportunity to spend 10 weeks with our Nutrition Team and work on projects that directly impact our product and users.

While your focus will be on the responsibilities listed below, you will also have the opportunity to grow your nutrition knowledge and skills in the communications and tech space by supporting other marketing and product functions at MyFitnessPal, as needed.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assist in enhancing food data quality within the app by supporting our team of Food Data Curators on reviewing reported foods, editing food data and nutrition fact verification of recipes. 
• Build your nutrition communication skills through authoring a monthly newsletter and opportunities to work cross-functionally with our PR, Editorial and Social Media teams.
• Support our healthcare professional engagement strategy, with a key focus on registered dietitians.
• Remain informed of nutrition industry trends, current nutrition research and developments, monitoring coverage to identify areas of opportunity.
• Provide regular reports on projects and work streams.

Qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Be a current, full-time college student with at least one academic term remaining following an internship at MyFitnessPal. The following students are generally eligible:
• Students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition (with the intent to become a registered dietitian) graduating between December 2025 and May 2026 (rising Juniors or Seniors) 
• Students completing their Master of Science degree with an emphasis in nutrition between December 2025 and May 2026
• Full Time MBA students between the 1st and 2nd year of their program

• Ability to read, interpret and communicate nutrition science. We value evidenced-based nutrition science at MyFitnessPal - ability to source and translate nutrition science into messaging for consumers will be a key component of your role. 
• Organization and Work Streams. Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Communication is key. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
• Detail oriented. Attention to detail is key when navigating nutrition science and multiple work streams. Meeting deadlines and completing tasks in a timely manner will be required. 
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently. The nutrition team works cross-functionally at MyFitnessPal supporting marketing and product team work streams. You will also need to be able to work independently in a remote environment. 
• Strong initiative and self-starter. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, take initiative to propose new ideas, and hit the ground running building off of those ideas and welcoming new work streams in order to develop final products. 
• Connectivity and Work Environment. You will need access to reliable internet and a comfortable place to work in a remote environment.

This position pays $25.00 per hour. In addition, there is an opportunity for high-performing interns to convert full time upon graduation, and in doing so, you would be eligible for the following benefits listed below.
