POSITION SUMMARY:  

The Oncology District Manager (ODM) is a critical Sales Leadership role within the New England Region, reporting to the Regional Director. This role is directly responsible for leading sales and driving revenue across three assigned territories, as well as developing and supporting a subset of Associate Clinical Oncology Specialists (ACOS) and Clinical Oncology Specialists (COS). The ODM will also collaborate with the Regional Director to provide strategic support for the other five territories within the region as needed. This is a people leadership role that combines account-level execution with mentorship, team development, and regional collaboration to achieve overall success.

In this role, the ODM will sell Natera’s full suite of Oncology products, support team members in their territories, and fill in for vacant geographies when required. The focus is on people development, increasing revenue, driving market development, and engaging directly with accounts and caregivers across the oncology continuum of care.

We are seeking a leader who can actively coach and mentor their direct reports, as well as influence indirect reports across the region, fostering a collaborative and positive sales culture, and demonstrating high levels of emotional intelligence. Ideal candidates are adaptable to change, possess exceptional communication skills, and excel at guiding their team, and others to achieve sales goals while identifying new opportunities and markets for growth.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Development and coaching of COS/ACOS direct reports.
  • Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Partnering with customers and internal teams to address critical issues and identify solutions.
  • Developing and executing strategic business plans to grow unit volumes and expand market presence.
 
LOCATION - This person will manage three territories within New England - Ideally residing in/around Boston Proper.
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:  
 
● Increase unit volumes by closing new physicians, accounts and growing volume in existing accounts.  
● Become product experts on all Natera Oncology products and processes to maximize effectiveness in the field.  
● Work with assigned ACOS & COS to sell, maintain & support existing customers  
● Assess the needs of medical professionals and staff members with a focus on customer support, coordination of logistics, and problem solving  
● Promote quality client/patient relations and create a supportive climate by serving as a role model for other employees  
● Respect and maintain the confidentiality of laboratory and financial information  
● Practice and adhere to all company policies and regulations  
● Follow Compliance procedures and participates in Compliance training  
● Perform miscellaneous duties with completion in a designated time frame  
● Communicate with Natera staff and its customer to ensure quality  
 
QUALIFICATIONS:  
 
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent  
● Minimum of 5 years of sales experience or Clinical support/Caregiver experience such as OCN or other.  
● Background in medical or biological sciences is preferred  
● Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required  
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:  
 
● History of leadership or Natera sales success in achieving or exceeding sales goals (Previous 2 quarters of 100% or better)  
● Award winning sales professional due to individual achievements  
● Exceptionally bright, flexible, self-motivated, and results oriented with strong leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills  
● Ability to think strategically as well as execute tactically  
● Must act with a sense of urgency  
● Have a strong desire to work in a fast-pace environment and must work independently with an internal drive to be successful  
● Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal) with demonstrated ability to effectively present to both internal and external customers 
● Effective time management skills required with a demonstrated ability to assess and prioritize  
● Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; Gmail; Sales Force.com  
 
 
The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
