Amazon Fleet is looking for a motivated Senior Program Manager to be a part of our Vehicle Delivery team. This leader will be an individual contributor on a talented team that manages programs across internal Amazon teams as well as external vendors. We need someone with proven program management skills to drive both strategy and tactical execution.

As a Senior Program Manger for Vehicle Delivery, you will work with executive leaders both internally and externally. The ability to communicate to leadership effective is essential. You will work across key internal teams including transportation vendor management, vendor operations, vehicle repair teams, finance, and vehicle capacity strategy. This role requires scoping and creating plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/product changes. The ideal candidate will leverage extensive program management experience, combined with an ability to transform information into easily to read updates and highlights.




Key job responsibilities
• Manage and oversee various cross-functional programs, ensuring successful delivery.
• Develop and refine program strategies, effectively leading and motivating teams.
• Set clear objectives for programs, leveraging data analytics to drive improvements and achieve metrics.
• Navigate and resolve ambiguities in business scenarios, applying creative problem-solving skills.
• Foster collaboration with internal and external partners to optimize resource allocation and project success.
• Evaluate and prioritize projects in conjunction with customer needs and technical team inputs.
• Bridge gaps in team dynamics, processes, and systems, preventing common project pitfalls.
• Identify and mitigate risks, preventing them from escalating into major issues.
• Regularly communicate with senior managers, business leaders, and other stakeholders to support key business initiatives.
• Develop, implement, and oversee KPI reporting for a program portfolio, ensuring clear visibility of milestones and project performance.
• Manage and communicate program budgets effectively.


A day in the life
- Manage multiple external vendors responsible for the transport and storage of Amazon branded vehicles.
-Query data and transform information to drive decisions and strategy.
-Partner with various stakeholders to understand customer need and how we can influence and impact that experience.
-Work with Product and Business Development teams to create tools and accountability to meet goals.
-Manage day-to-day vendor execution.
-Up to 15% travel required.


About the team
Amazon's Vehicle Delivery team supports Delivery stations and ensures we have the right vehicle, in the right place, to deliver to our customers. We are continuously transforming how auto carriers support operations in a peculiar Amazon way. - 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
