Job Description

Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) at Thoughtworks are the frontline drivers of new business opportunities, sparking relationships with potential clients and laying the groundwork for transformative partnerships. By identifying and qualifying prospects, SDRs connect client challenges with Thoughtworks’ expertise, fueling the sales pipeline and positioning our solutions as catalysts for innovation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Generate and qualify leads through proactive outreach (email, calls, social media, events) to build a robust sales pipeline within Germany.
  • Engage prospects to understand their business needs, technical challenges, and strategic goals, positioning Thoughtworks as a trusted strategic partner.
  • Collaborate with Business Development Managers and Marketing teams to align outreach strategies with target industries, personas, and campaigns.
  • Schedule discovery meetings and demos for sales teams, ensuring seamless handoffs and clear communication of prospect context.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of prospect interactions in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), tracking progress toward quotas and KPIs.
  • Stay informed about Thoughtworks’ offerings, industry trends, and competitive differentiators to articulate value propositions effectively.
  • Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly targets for lead generation, qualified opportunities, and pipeline contribution.
  • Continuously refine outreach tactics through A/B testing, feedback, and adoption of best practices in sales engagement.
  • Represent Thoughtworks at virtual or in-person events, capturing leads and nurturing relationships with potential clients.
  • Contribute to sales playbooks and collateral by sharing insights on prospect pain points and market opportunities.

Technical Skills

  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement platforms (e.g., Outreach, Apollo.io).
  • Familiarity with sales prospecting tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo) to identify and research target accounts.
  • Basic understanding of B2B sales cycles and lead qualification frameworks.

Professional Skills

  • Hunter mentality: Persistence and creativity in prospecting, with the ability to engage cold leads and turn them into warm opportunities.
  • Communication mastery: Clear, concise, and compelling in written and verbal outreach, tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Collaborative spirit: Thrive in cross-functional teams, bridging sales, marketing, and technical stakeholders.
  • Resilience: Embrace rejection as part of the process, adapting quickly to feedback and evolving strategies.
  • Curiosity: Ask probing questions to uncover client needs and align them with Thoughtworks’ capabilities.
  • Organisation: Juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.
