What Your Day-To-Day Will Involve:
Leadership and ExecutionProvide day-to-day leadership for Cloud & Data, Robot Software, and Firmware teams.Mentor and develop existing Managers and senior (e.g. Principal) engineers.Drive a culture of ownership, execution, and accountability, inspiring teams to meet ambitious milestones.
Engineering ExcellenceSet and enforce engineering best practices across all teams to establish a culture of engineering excellence with scalable, testable, and maintainable systems Implement effective work tracking and project management processes, in collaboration with Program Management, to drive predictability through structured accountability frameworks.Foster a hands-on engineering culture where leaders are deeply involved in architecture and design trade off discussions to guide teams through complex decisions.
System and Platform DevelopmentOversee development of: Robot software including Windows OS, clinical and subsystem application in C# and C++. Embedded firmware solutions for distributed microcontroller systems. Cloud applications on AWS. Data engineering pipelines integrating multiple datasets.
