Airbnb was born in 2007 when two Hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 4 million Hosts who have welcomed more than 1 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, Hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.
The Community You Will Join:
Airbnb's Public Policy Team works closely with governments at various levels, parliamentarians and policymakers, regulators and law enforcement agencies, public entities, industry associations, research institutions and academia, user communities, as well as the broader public, to introduce them to the numerous benefits of the sharing economy exemplified by Airbnb and its corporate values. The team highlights the significant socio-economic contributions our business makes to the nation and local communities, and showcases best practices from around the world. We operate proactively and reactively, building policy solutions that ensure our host community can thrive.
We work across the region, drawing on a wide range of policy tools and campaign disciplines - from detailed policy work, through high-impact strategic partnerships, community organising, creative initiatives, informative polling, innovative data science and research, and persuasive policy narratives and campaigns.
The Difference You Will Make:
The Policy Media team is the creative engine of the Public Policy team, and helps positively shape the conversation around relevant regulation and community commitments through targeted initiatives. We build and design campaigns and content to win over our external stakeholders, experiment with new ways to tell the Airbnb story more effectively and creatively, and partner with internal teams to execute on and achieve a shared vision.
