To help create this vision of customers accessing Fire TV content, on many different types of screens, we are seeking technical engagement professionals who possess both the technical thought leadership to inspire and enable device makers to include Fire TV in their offerings and, the business development and relationship management experience needed to assist with complex, multi-discipline projects. In this role, you will be the technical bridge between the Amazon product teams (product management, HW/SW development, UX, etc) and the external device makers to help shape the offerings we create to fit the needs of the end user customers. The main focus of your work will be the technical engagement management for smart TV OEMs, and the companies they work with to build their products. This can include ODM (original design manufacturer), component manufacturers, and brand owners/licensors. The success of your work will be directly related to the number of Fire TV smart TV products our partners are able to bring to market, deliver to the end customers through Amazon.com, partner sites, and retail, and maintain end customer engagement. To do this, you will be the technical part of the business development engagement, and work directly with the Fire TV devices BD team on opportunity identification, product development and ultimately product launch.
As a Principal Solutions Architect for Fire TV devices, you will perform following functions:
(1) Become the Subject Matter expert on Fire TV reference architectures, device specs, UX requirements and CX
(2) Convey best practices to engaged Fire TV device maker partners/customers to ensure consistent and delightful device CX
(3) Be the OEM/ODM/End-user Customer advocate to the internal product organization to create product specifications and strategies that keep Fire TV relevant and excellent
(4) Help to develop and lead the team to establish a scalable structure for Fire TV Development with partners.

- 10+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
- Experience developing technology solutions and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications- Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation or equivalent
- Knowledge of large scale automation and workflow management or equivalent
- Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers
- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $164,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $284,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
