Product Manager, Google Cloud VMware Engine

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
• 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience developing/launching products/technologies within Cloud Infrastructure including customer requirements, market trends, engaged positioning.
• Experienced in getting data from various systems and leveraging that to make data product decisions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (writing and delivering presentations, including leadership).

This role has a primary responsibility to manage commercial aspects of billing and licensing and related automation. You will work with a team led to drive all billing and commercial cost management for licenses. It is an opportunity to scale foundational elements of a growth cloud product.

• You will define product requirements for automated license usage reporting and compliance capabilities in Google Cloud VMware Engine(GCVE) and drive feature/release life-cycle working closely with engineering, product finance and product operations teams.
• Discover the requirements for automation of licensing order placement and procurement and drive feature/release life-cycle working closely with engineering, procurement and counterparts with the external partner.
• You will be responsible for defining product requirements for automated license optimization areas to deliver significant cost savings to the business.
• Drive feature/release life-cycle working closely with data science and engineering teams.
