Help us protect all Amazon customers, from Prime Video to Fulfillment Centers. We are looking for a security focused Senior UX Designer who wants to make a difference and ensure that protecting customer data is at the forefront of all development.
What you will work on:
You will design and develop products used by all Amazon builders to identify, track, and eliminate security issues throughout the software development lifecycle. You will be challenged by large-scale data visualization and dependency constraints as you build features that delight your customers, and you will learn about and integrate critical systems across Amazon. We believe in experimentation, iterating quickly and getting feedback from our customers.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for a creative, customer- and details-obsessed Senior UX Designer familiar with end-to-end product design processes and modern design systems. You need to have strong UX fundamentals (user-centered design, information architecture, and interaction patterns) and a deep understanding of design systems and component-based architecture. Our ideal candidate demonstrates proficiency in modern design tools like Figma or Adobe XD for creating high-fidelity prototypes and maintaining design systems, along with experience in component-based design principles and atomic design methodology. You should have understanding of front-end technologies like React, Angular, or Vue.js to effectively collaborate with development teams, as well as knowledge of design token implementation and design-to-development handoff processes. The role requires the ability to translate complex user research into actionable design solutions, experience conducting usability studies and implementing iterative design improvements, understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles, and a proven track record of building and maintaining scalable design systems. You will need to be able to balance user needs while considering the long-term impact on the product ecosystem and design system scalability. We need someone who stays current with UX trends and best practices, and wants to work with an experienced team in a quick-moving, agile, and highly collaborative environment. The ideal candidate should have experience with design version control and collaboration tools, knowledge of prototyping tools, understanding of modern CSS frameworks and component libraries, and familiarity with user research tools and methodologies.
