Senior Account Manager - Team Lead

Altium is growing, and we are looking for a highly motivated Account Manager – Team Lead (m/f) to drive our growth in the assigned region. This role will not only focus on managing and expanding customer relationships but also lead a team of three Account Managers to achieve collective success.

A day in the life of our Account Manager - Team Lead: 

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of Account Managers to drive performance, meet sales targets, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Set clear goals and provide ongoing coaching to improve sales effectiveness.
• Build and nurture relationships with new and existing customers, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling Altium’s solutions.
• Ensure high post-sales satisfaction, driving renewals and long-term partnerships.
• Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Present Altium’s value proposition through online presentations to engineering teams, management, and C-level executives.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of sales activities in Altium’s CRM system.
• Execute specialized projects such as call-out campaigns and customer data updates.
• Develop and implement strategies to expand Altium’s customer base and enhance market penetration.
• Track and manage subscription renewal dates within the assigned territory to maximize retention.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing and customer success teams, to drive customer engagement and revenue growth.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and Altium’s evolving product offerings.
• Office based in Bangalore (60% of the time), with potential travel within India 

Who We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in business, communication, or a related field is desirable or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software sales, preferably with a focus on annual subscriptions and maintenance contracts; ECAD, MCAD, or PLM experience is a strong plus.
• Proven leadership experience with a track record of successfully managing and coaching sales teams.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels.
• Self-driven and results-oriented with a passion for sales and business growth.
• Proficiency in CRM systems such as Salesforce is highly desirable.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional Indian languages is a plus.
