Manufacturing Engineer, Machining
The Manufacturing Engineer, Machining is responsible for the processes used to manufacture and inspect machined components for flight and developmental use.
This includes working with design engineering teams to create and execute a rigorous design process to ensure machined components are made on-time and to the highest possible quality. You will work directly with the Astranis machinists, contract manufacturers, and internal quality teams to ensure machined components are made to the highest possible quality standard, including ownership of all processes and tooling used on the factory floor.
The ideal candidate has experience across design and manufacturing of precision machined components, setting up and maintaining production processes with an emphasis on quality, and high attention to detail. The ideal candidate also has hands-on experience with machining and programming parts, and ability to roll up their sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
