Your Role:
The Product Manager will be involved with research and development of vulnerability detection and asset signatures, custodians and developers of Tenable Intelligence, primary vulnerability and security research, and related thought leadership.
Your Opportunity:
• Helps develop the overall Tenable Research team strategy and road map
• Conducts customer jobs based research to identify underserved jobs that Tenable Research can address
• Documents these unmet jobs as requirements. Works on prioritization and socializing these with engineering
• Drives Tenable Research contributions to overall Tenable NPS and customer satisfaction scores
• Works hand in hand with Product teams on intra-team deliverables and dependencies
• Works hand in hand with Marketing teams on positioning and externalizing Tenable Research content (product content, research reports, alerts etc.)
• Identifies opportunities to enhance the public image of Tenable Research as a world-class security organization, a notable authority in cyber risk intelligence and cyber security broadly
• May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time
What You'll Need:
• Masters level education or equivalent work experience, ideally a mix of engineering and business
• Prior Cyber Security experience e.g. SOC analyst/lead, red team, pen tester, security consultant
• 3-5 years Product Management experience is preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Communicates at ease and professionally externally - with customers, at conferences, and potentially with analysts
• A track record of producing high quality research/driving Research-like teams to industry leading levels
• Has the ability to quickly change tack and lead shorter term but high profile Research initiatives that have a material or otherwise significant impact on the business
• Ability to influence at senior management levels
• Strong project and time management skills
• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time
• Some travel may be required
