Software Development Engineer, 7814 - Selling Partner Promotions

Key job responsibilities
The requirement is for someone who can rigorously use state-of-the-art methods and technologies in their area of specialization. The successful candidate will (1) contribute to existing development efforts already underway by infusing their deep knowledge of their field and technical prowess, (2) identify new and promising uses of technologies that address novel problems in Promotions, and (3) connect with other teams throughout Amazon to ensure that we benefit from innovations and progress across the company. Our team is dedicated to supporting new members. We have a broad mix of experience levels and skills including Software Engineering, Big Data Engineering and Applied Science. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded professional and enable them to take on more complex tasks in the future.- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 3+ years of machine learning, statistical modeling, data mining, and analytics techniques experience
- 3+ years of big data technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, Lucene/SOLR or Storm/Samza experience
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

The base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
