Job Description

Overview

Maximize your expertise in shipping operations and attention to detail to curate documentation and arrange the delivery of Esri software orders, support materials, as well as computer and office equipment to both domestic and international locations. This pivotal role entails not only overseeing the logistics of shipments but also guaranteeing compliance with stringent US and foreign trade regulations across all communication, documentation, and export procedures

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate shipments of product and corporate materials, including exports and imports
  • Prepare export documentation in compliance with transaction requirements and all applicable US and foreign trade regulations including creation of commercial invoice, packing list, waybills, Shipper’s Letter of Instructions, and other necessary documentation
  • Generate Export Declarations via AES Direct with the appropriate Schedule B commodity number, shipment value, export license or symbol, ECCN, and other required fields; ensure export documentation meets BIS and DOC regulations
  • Compile and analyze shipment data to optimize processes and reduce cost, support other departments in data analysis and distribution needs as necessary
  • Evaluate various freight considerations for the right balance of speed and cost to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost; capitalize on opportunities to reduce freight costs, evaluate carrier performance, and analyze shipping operations
  • Work directly with customers, carriers, and customer service to resolve shipping-related issues and plan appropriate recovery
  • Coordinate imports with custom broker or freight forwarder as needed

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in shipping coordination and documentation preparation including export/international
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to interface with freight forwarders, international distributors, and internal customers
  • Excellent attention to detail with shipping documentation and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of US export regulations and export license requirements
  • Clerical skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel, data entry, typing at 45 wpm, filing, copying, and experience with communication equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Bachelor’s in business, logistics, supply chain, or a related field

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven track record of driving process improvements, working collaboratively with other departments, and embracing process and systems change
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with SAP HANA business system

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$68,640$95,680 USD
