Job summary
Join our growing Business Desk team to focus on Deal Desk & Order to Cash Operations Management in the Americas Region! In this role, you will partner with sales to drive and manage deal structure, agreements, and execution in AMS, closing high quality business in a timely manner.
This role will work closely with sales leadership team in AMS, supporting them with insights into regional and global best practices to help accelerate commercial discussions.
What you will do
- Be the trusted advisor to sales team, collaborating on deal structure, pricing, product and commercial terms for non-standard transactions
- Review and verify incoming non-standard deals for accuracy, working closely with Sales, Sales Management, Legal, Revenue Recognition and other cross-functional teams on the commercial deal structure and agreement generation, enforce the corporate approval matrix and associated policies
- Use professional concepts and company policies and procedures to solve a wide range of difficult problems in imaginative and practical ways
- Identify internal roadblocks, provide solutions and alternatives, communicate next steps, escalate where needed
- Utilize Salesforce (CRM tools), Apptus (CPQ tools), product platforms and relevant processes
- Capable to support sales team on inquiries out from system integration, data/contract migration, process clarification
- Advise sales and sales operations leadership to help manage overall business execution, being a key contributor to business reviews and forecast meetings
- Leverage analytical and operational insights to identify and contribute to deal process enhancement initiatives
- Coaching/training team members and share best practice of the role as necessary
- Participate in special projects as needed
What you will have
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2+ years sales operations experience
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced, challenging environment as part of a dynamic team of professionals and can communicate effectively in group settings as well as before senior management
- Ability to assist in driving adoption, enabling sales, and legal members or managers with productivity improvement processes
- Demonstrated ability to use organizational skills to create a productive process that the larger team can understand and follow efficiently
- Understanding of B2B sales processes
- Strong knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint & Salesforce
- Familiarity with Salesforce (or similar CRM tools), Apptus (or similar CPQ tools), product platforms and relevant processes
- Comfortability engaging with company executives
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented environment while being organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
