Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

This Bengaluru-based Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for maintaining high levels of performance, uptime, and overall integrity of DigiCert’s global infrastructure.

What you will do

• Oversee VMware/vCenter environments, managing 13 vCenters and 300 hosts to ensure high availability and performance.
• Administer backup and recovery solutions using Data Domain or Veeam, ensuring data integrity and fast recovery times.
• Manage compute infrastructure to maintain reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Continuously monitor infrastructure systems and applications to detect issues early and minimize downtime.
• Perform regular system performance analysis and capacity planning to ensure the infrastructure scales with the needs of the business.

What you will have

• 10+ years of experience managing enterprise-level infrastructure, with an emphasis on VMware.
• 6+ years of experience administering enterprise VMware clustered infrastructure.
• 6+ years of experience as a backup administrator (Data Domain or Veeam experience preferred).
• 6+ years of experience with Linux environments (Red Hat, CentOS, OEL).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
• A Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field (B.E., B.Tech, B.Sc. Computer Science, BCA) or 6+ years of relevant work experience in systems administration, infrastructure management, backup, or virtualization technologies.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills.
• In-depth knowledge of system, network, storage, and security design principles.

Nice to have

• Experience with Splunk administration.
• Experience administering Dell PowerFlex infrastructure.
• Experience with DNS (BlueCat, BIND).
• Experience managing digital certificates.
• Experience with load balancers, such as F5.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP).
