APAC - Defect & Risk Analyst - Japanese Speaker, Payroll - Defect and Risk Management

Amazon’s Finance Operations Payroll team has an immediate opening for a seasoned Operational Excellence whose experience illustrates a clear ability to support implementation of global process improvement along with technologies and services to meet long term business needs.

The OE role is self-driven, and goal oriented with a focus in delivering a business solution that meets the customers need. We are a fun and diverse team with members in several different countries. This is a mix of quantitative and leadership skills to identify process improvement & technology related opportunities and bring them to logical closure by applying stable and scalable solutions.

The OE Analyst will be co-leading the global programs/ projects and has to drive the culture of self-inspection and continuous improvement where acting on fact and eliminating defects and waste is the norm.

Key elements of driving Global Program are:

1. Global program communication with stakeholders across verticals
2. Strong Stakeholder Management skill.
3. Writing whitepapers for MBR or ad-hoc connects.
4. Preparing and leading program’s workshops/ FMEA sessions
5. Performing Data Analysis to get to the actionable root causes
6. Liaising with respective stakeholders to get the buy-in.
7. Identifying opportunities for automating process steps and other process improvement
8. Risk and Control Assessment
9. New/ improved control deployment
10. Preparing and publishing program dashboards on regular basis
11. Analyzing numbers on the dashboards and come up with some logical recommendations
12. Following up to get the actions completed
13. Performing internal audits to gauge the effectiveness
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in project/program management.
- Demonstrated Project Management experience, including managing a project portfolio, driving a timeline to completion, following-up, organizing multiple action plans within multiple functions.
- Strong verbal and written skills - Japanese.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while applying sound business judgment and quantitative analytics using Big Data Analytics (preferred).
- Understanding basic process improvement techniques
- Proficient in obtaining, organizing, and analyzing data to make fact-based decisions and drive RCA.
- Must be open for changes in the approach
- Capability to highlight risks and come up with potential solutions
- Strong in ownership, dive deep and bias for action
- PMP , Prince 2 etc.
- Process, manufacturing, or engineering background with an ability to understand process work-flow and throughout the operation.
- 2+ years experience in payroll industry.
