About the right team member

Mindbody is seeking a highly motivated Product Analyst to support our team’s mission of creating and maintaining a world-class data environment. This role sits with our Business Intelligence team, which is at the center of everything data-related at Mindbody, and works cross-functionally with stakeholders to understand business needs, build data models that support tracking critical metrics, and provide analytical insights that drive business strategy. This opportunity is an excellent fit for a candidate that is passionate about contributing to sitting on a centralized data team, brings experience with product analytics and supporting product teams through actionable insights, and has a strong desire to contribute to the operational and strategic initiatives at the company. This role is focused on the ClassPass Product organization, though sits on the centralized Business Intelligence team whose responsibilities span both Mindbody and ClassPass.  

About the role

  • Collaborate with Product teams to understand reporting needs, identify and develop data models in support of self-service, advise on event tracking definitions, and empower self-service in Mixpanel and other product analytics tools 
  • Monitor performance trends and identify areas of improvement; conduct ad hoc analysis into complex product funnels and ongoing experiments.  
  • Write, QA, and maintain/update the SQL logic underpinning our core data models which power all business KPI reporting at the company 
  • Build and maintain dashboards and data sources that clearly surface key insights, while collaborating with PMs to address data needs for upcoming features on the product roadmap 
  • Create and manage a roadmap with Product stakeholders to define goals, prioritize work, and communicate expected timelines and deliverables 
  • Proactively identify gaps in analytics infrastructure and present solutions 
  • Drive generative analysis to identify unique product insights 

Skills & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, quantitative field preferred 
  • 3+ years of experience in Data Analytics or similar role that involves user behavior analysis, preferably in a B2C setting. 
  • Prior experience working with Product teams and Product Analytics tools (Mixpanel, Heap, Segment, Optimizely, etc.) 
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience developing data models in cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, dbt) 
  • Familiarity with BI tools and platforms (Tableau, Looker, Excel) 
  • Proficiency with ad-hoc and exploratory analysis using SQL, Python and/or R 
  • Experience with experimentation design and analysis preferred 
  • Ability to present complex analysis in a clear and understandable manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders 
  • History building strong relationships across teams and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to understand data needs and business impact. 
  • Familiarity with road mapping or sprint cycles; is able to communicate priorities and meet deadlines
