The Senior Financial Analyst will support the rapid growth of the Australian Retail business and oversee a wide range of operations related to distribution of packages and deliveries to the end customer.
The focus of this role is on Delivery Services financial performance, and how those areas contribute to our retail businesses bottom-line profitability. The activities will include modelling, budgeting, controlling, reporting, auditing and advising senior leadership on the best financial direction to take.

Key job responsibilities
• Partner with Operations Management, Workforce Staffing and Supply Chain to drive process improvements, cost savings, and new business initiatives
• Perform monthly variance analysis versus plan and forecast risks and opportunities
• Develop and publish regular financial reports highlighting key performance indicators and regular business metrics
• Proactively work with the business owners on root cause analyses and solution implementation
• Improve tools, processes, scale existing solutions, create new solutions as required based on stakeholder needs
- Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience working with stakeholders
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or related field
- Advanced communication skills (oral and written)
- Solution driven approach to systems and processes- Solid experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis
- Highly analytical, detail oriented and a demonstrated strong sense of business management; proven ability to develop new ideas and ability to deliver solutions
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic, ever-growing and often ambiguous environment; effective multi-tasking skills are vital
- Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills working with peers and various levels of management
- Experience working with SQL, Cognos and Data Warehouse.
- Experience working with QuickSight and/or Tableau
- Knowledge of Manufacturing, Distribution Center or Logistics processes and systems
- MBA, Masters in Finance
- Experience with Online Retail
- Experience with Logistics and Supply Chain
