The Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for managing the end-to-end procure-to-pay (P2P) process, ensuring compliance with company policies and SOX regulations. This role is to be part of the Finance Operations team in Belo Horizonte that supports North America and Latin America countries. If you have an analytical mindset, a desire to learn, and to grow with a brilliant team this opportunity is for you. This is a hybrid position for Belo Horizonte region. 

Job responsibilities

  • Receive and process vendor invoices for approval.
  • Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices timely.
  • Address and respond to vendor inquiries.
  • Process reimbursement and support various ad-hoc projects.
  • Process expense reports on a regular basis.
  • Maintain a large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Support audits, resolve billing and payment issues.
  • Perform data entry associated with accounts payable. 
  • Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies.
  • Ensure all payments are accurately recorded and properly applied to.
  • Support the monthly and year-end reconciliation process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead small to mid size projects.
  • Coordinates cooperation and communicates at a team or project level.

Job qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Being able to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written skills).
  • Bachelor's degree, or above, required, in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • Strong experience working in finance.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of typical financial transactions of a globally distributed company.

Professional Skills

  • Quick learning ability, organization, and strong attention to detail.
  • Must have autonomy to work well independently and with little supervision.
  • Capable of receiving direct feedback from the manager and other team members.
  • Willing to share experiences with colleagues and express ideas.
  • Being able to establish priorities to always meet deadlines.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong analytic abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, a sense of commitment, and a good attitude.
